9/8 Tuesday
Today in class we built on what we learned on Friday, Quantum numbers. We learned the fourth Quantum number m(sub)s. The fourth quantum number accounts for the "spin". The spin of an electron describes its magnetic field, which affects its energy. Also we learned the Orbital diagrams for s, p, and d. After much explanation on what the orbitals were we went on further to learn how to write Electron Configurations. The homework for the night was to write Electron configurations up to the element Krypton (we wrote Electron configurations up to Argon in class). We then wrote in the journals.

9/9 Wednesday
Today in class we started with a worksheet labeled "Building Atoms with Quantum Leaps" to further our understanding of quantum numbers.The worksheet included filling in quantum numbers charts, writing Electron Configurations and creating an energy level diagram. The worksheet took the majority of both periods, but we managed to squeeze in picking lab partners. To finish up we wrote in the journals
